My long hair is my life
Here I would like to tell you a bit about my approach, tips and tricks. All the things that brought my short, straw-like hair to long, voluminous hair and also make it much longer!
I am glad you are here
Everyone starts small - but everyone can also become a Rapunzel - it's never too late!
Here I would like to list very briefly and concisely what I do for my hair so everything:
Monday: It's wash day! Before I wash my hair I give the hair cream of "Old Ginger King" in my hair. While this acts for 45min, I have a leisurely breakfast and arrange my things for work later. 45min later I go under the shower and wash my hair. I shampoo my hair 2x with the Tripe Tee Treat Shampoo from Giovanni Cosmetics - so also all the residues come out. Then I give the hair butter of Shea Moiusture in my hair and let this act 10min until I wash this out. Now still a conditioner and then some oil for the tips and the wash day is initially through.
Tuesday: My hair still shines and feels soft. I comb them in the morning with a boar bristle brush through and wrap them in a chignon. So they are protected from environmental particles.
Wednesday: My hair is so slowly greasy - I comb it through carefully and pack it in a loose chignon. Eventually, if they are too greasy, I put baby powder on them to make them look fresh again. It's not as damaging as dry shampoo!
Thursday: Wash day again! Finally, yay! I often take videos and pictures on this day to remind myself again how beautiful and important my hair is to me. Happy hormones and positive energy are just as important as a balanced diet when it comes to healthy hair growth!
Friday: Weekend! From here on, I like to let my hair grease through until Monday to delay the process of regular washing out. That way the hair doesn't get used to the constant washing. But I also like to give leave-in`s and oils in the hair on the weekend, massage the scalp and and...
Every day I take biotin tablets to strengthen my hair.
I eat healthy - because that is what our hair needs.
My hair gets all the care and attention it needs every day.
My hair is my life.
My long hair story
Everyone has their own story, which moves and shapes them.
Here below you will find my very personal story, of my short hair and why I had decided to let it grow long
Strictly speaking, my journey of long hair began when I was 6 years old and attended the first grade of elementary school.
There my interest in long hair developed quickly when I saw the first girls with their long hair. From the beginning, friendships developed and people shared about their hair.
But the desire to have my own long hair remained a secret until I was 12. At 12, when I attended 7th grade in secondary school I made friends with a girl who was also fascinated by long hair. She had long, brown, straight hair and for the first time I was brave enough to talk about my dreams.
We used to meet at her place during the breaks: I combed her hair and was able to practice hairstyles. For 6 years this went on, crying her ears off and not doing anything with my hair.
My parents are pretty conservative: they say men wear their hair short. Everything else looks "stupid". But when I came of age, i.e. 18, I stood up to my parents for the first time and let my hair grow.
At first, my parents always spoke against me, trying to talk me out of it and making stupid remarks. But I had goals and idols, like Lianne, or also my good friend S.
These helped me to assert myself mentally against the ridicule of my family. And for the first time I had about 30cm long hair - finally!
After 1 year of growth. But I cut it short again when I met my current girlfriend. After all, one wanted to please visually - how naive!
My parents were happy, my long hair friends sad - after all, we wanted to grow long hair together....
But shortly after my girlfriend and I got together, I let my hair grow again. The defiance of my parents was less and the enforcement was easier. Now I am since March 28, 2020 on the way to my goal: to become a Rapunzel
